i-DENTITY TV Show – 7 weeks later! (11am on SABC1)

Hello Friends,

It’s been 7 weeks since i-DENTITY first went on air! How time has flown. 🙂 We are completely humbled by the feedback that our viewers have been giving us. YOU are the reason we do what we do! 

Thank you for watching, thank you for your Facebook and Twitter interaction, and of course all the emails we get daily! We LOVE that you love the show and we intend to keep bringing you inspirational guests and special community stories from all across Mzansi!

Don’t forget to tune in this morning at 11am. This is what you can expect on today’s show:

-Mpumi hangs out with poetic phenomenon and winner of SA’s Got Talent 2012, Botlhale Boikanyo. And of course we couldn’t let her leave without performing a poem for us.

-We take a shot left to Tembisa to find out the true meaning of Easter from the perspective of the Dominion Life Cathedral youth group.

-We review a vegetarian cooking app called ‘Green Kitchen’.

-We also review the book ‘Miracle for Jen’, which is based on a true life story.

-And in celebration of Easter Sunday, we play out with a gospel music video from Thulani Ga Ndlela.

i-DENTITY on Sunday 24 Feb, 11am on SABC1

We can’t believe we’re already counting down to the airing of the second episode of i-DENTITY! The response to the first episode has been AWESOME and we appreciate it so much!

This week Mpumi chats to a former YO-TV presenter who is now a business woman, Selae Thobakgale. She actually had us all hooked on every word she said! Find out all about her life away from the TV cameras.

In this week’s insert, we learn about the Jewish tree planting festival known as Tu Bishvat. Since we’re all responsible for the earth, it’s so cool to see young people taking an interest in environmental issue.

On the What’s Appening segment, you can look forward to some really helpful and interesting reviews. This week we’re reviewing a comedy called ‘Here Comes the Boom’ starring Kevin James, and an Islamic app called the Yaseen Memorizer.

We’ll be wrapping up the show with a music video from Loyiso Bala. Although he is know for beautiful love songs, we’ll be playing out with a gospel track that he released recently!

It’s been an interesting journey that we’ve walked to get to the point where the first episode of i-DENTITY is ready to be on your screens! As with all journeys, we’ve had our share of ups and downs. But nothing could have prepared us for the emotions that come with seeing this baby take it’s first steps.

As we countdown to the airing of our first episode this Sunday the 17th of February 2013 on SABC1 at 10am, the team’s excitement is almost tangible. We can’t wait to watch it with the rest of the country, and of course to hear your feedback!

So if you’re looking for a spiritual spin on all things to do with fashion, art, music, technology and so much more, i-DENTITY is the show to keep an eye on. The most exciting part of the show is that you can write to us and request the i-DENTITY Team to come and cover an event or a community story in your hood! Who knows! We could be paying you a visit and covering your special community story.
